Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

signalk-coastline-plugin

YachtEye coastline provides the distance to the coastline (navigation.yachteye.distanceToCoast) and a recommended zoom level (navigation.yachteye.zoomLevel).
The recommended zoom level (for e.g. a mapping application) is based on the distance to the coast and the speed of the vessel (and the configured thresholds).
The default coastline is the ne_110m_coastline.geojson of natural earth.
Optionally a custom coastline url (and access token) can be configured.

The required position (navigation.position) and speed (navigation.speedOverGround) are taken from the SignalK graph.

Build:
npm run build

Install with:

The SignalK app store, or
npm install @yachteye/signalk-coastline-plugin

After installation, you enable & configure the plugin via the plugins page in the SignalK admin UI.
The (default) values for the distance and speed thresholds may require some fine tuning.
