Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Vertex Web Viewer SDK

This project contains Vertex's 3D Viewer SDK. Vertex is a cloud platform for rendering large 3D models. See Vertex's website for more information.

Our 3D viewer is distributed as a set of standards-based web components that can run in any browser supporting the Custom Elements v1 specification. For browsers that do not support the Custom Elements v1 spec, a polyfill will automatically be used.

Getting Started

Script Tag

To get started, add a <script> tag to your HTML file that references our published JS bundle.

<html>
  <head>
    <link
      rel="stylesheet"
      href="https://unpkg.com/@vertexvis/[email protected]/dist/viewer/viewer.css"
    />
    <script
      type="module"
      src="https://unpkg.com/@vertexvis/[email protected]/dist/viewer/viewer.esm.js"
    ></script>
    <script
      nomodule
      src="https://unpkg.com/@vertexvis/[email protected]/dist/viewer.js"
    ></script>
  </head>
</html>

Node Modules

You can also install our components as an NPM dependency to your project.

  • Run npm install my-component --save
  • Put a script tag similar to this <script src='node_modules/my-component/dist/mycomponent.js'></script> in the head of your index.html
  • Then you can use the element anywhere in your template, JSX, html etc

Usage

<html>
  <head>
    <link
      rel="stylesheet"
      href="https://unpkg.com/@vertexvis/[email protected]/dist/viewer/viewer.css"
    />
    <script
      type="module"
      src="https://unpkg.com/@vertexvis/[email protected]/dist/viewer/viewer.esm.js"
    ></script>
    <script
      nomodule
      src="https://unpkg.com/@vertexvis/[email protected]/dist/viewer.js"
    ></script>

    <script>
      window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', () => {
        main();
      });

      function main() {
        const viewer = document.querySelector('#viewer');
        viewer.addEventListener('pick', event => {
          console.log('picked parts', event.details.hitResults);
        });
      }
    </script>
  </head>
  <body>
    <vertex-viewer
      id="viewer"
      credentials-client-id="client-id"
      credentials-token="token"
      model="urn:vertexvis:eedc:scenestate:123"
    >
      <vertex-viewer-toolbar data-viewer="viewer"></vertex-viewer-toolbar>
