Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@vcmap/link-button

Part of the VC Map Project

This plugin allows to add multiple buttons to the UI which link e.g. to another online GIS system. It provides different location and orientation related variables that can be added to the URL using a template notation.

Configuration

| Property | Type | default | Description | | --------- | ------------------- | ------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- | | 'buttons' | Array<LinkButton> | [] | Array with the configuration of the Link Buttons |

LinkButton

| Property | Type | default | Description | | ---------------- | ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | 'templateUrl' | string | required | A URL using template notation to add current location and orientation of the map. | | 'title' | string | 'Open external link' | The title and tooltip of the action button. | | 'icon' | string | '$vcsExternalLink' | The icon of the Button. Can either be a Material Design Icon, a VCS Icon or a (data-)URL. | | 'buttonLocation' | ButtonLocation | 2 | The Location of the button in the UI. Currently only 'TOOL' (2) and 'MENU' (5) supported. | | projection | ProjectionOptions | { epsg: 'EPSG:4326', proj4: '+proj=longlat +datum=WGS84 +no_defs +type=crs' } | Projection definition for extent, groundPosition and cameraPosition. |

Template URL

In order to add information about current location and orientation in the map, double curly braces with variables can be added to the URL.

Example: https://new.virtualcitymap.de/?state=[[[{{cameraPosition}}],[{{groundPosition}}],{{distance}},{{heading}},{{pitch}},{{roll}}],"cesium",["VC Map Demo"]]

Available variables

| name | description | | ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | 'groundPosition' | Position on Ground that is focused by the current view. Therefore can be used as center. | | 'cameraPosition' | Position of camera. In 2D this is undefined. | | 'distance' | Distance of the camera to the ground. | | 'heading' | Heading of the camera in degrees (0 = North). | | 'pitch' | Pitch of camera in degrees ranging from -90 to 90. | | 'roll' | Roll of camera in degrees. | | 'extent' | The extent of the current view as array with [xmin, ymin, xmax, ymax]. In 3D the ground position is used with heading 0 (north) and pitch 90 (top view). |
