Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A lightweight library for parsing Tailwind CSS classes and converting HTML with Tailwind classes to a custom node tree structure.

Installation

npm install @toddledev/tailwind-parser

or

yarn add @toddledev/tailwind-parser

Usage

Parsing Tailwind Classes

import { parseClassString } from '@toddledev/tailwind-parser';

const classString = 'bg-blue-500 hover:bg-blue-600 p-4';
const { style, variants } = parseClassString(classString);

console.log(style);    // Object containing parsed styles
console.log(variants); // Array of parsed variants

Converting HTML to Node Tree

import { tailwindToToddle } from '@toddledev/tailwind-parser';

const html = '<div class="bg-red-500 p-4"><span class="text-white">Hello, World!</span></div>';
const nodeTree = tailwindToToddle(html);

console.log(nodeTree);

API

parseClassString(classString: string): { style: Record<string, string>, variants: Variant[] }

Parses a string of Tailwind CSS classes and returns an object containing the parsed styles and variants.

tailwindToToddle(html: string): NodeTree

Converts an HTML string with Tailwind classes to a custom node tree structure.
