Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Server

Simple promised node http request-response handler.

Each Node.js server is a handler for http(s) server request event:

Anatomy of an HTTP Transaction

There are many popular frameworks like express.js or koa created to handle user requests.

But all of them use ideas from other programming languages or they are too old.

Skazka Server created with deep understanding of JavaScript core (and node.js), its new ideas like promises and async/await.

Core of the server was created to resolve highload problems, work as a separate server or serverless.

And performance is the main reason to maintain this server because in real life you need to pay for each millisecond.
