Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

SAP Fiori Tools - Guided Development

Description

The SAP Fiori Tools - Guided Development provides access to How-To guides and tutorials that help the developers implement a feature functionality for their Fiori element application quickly. The user can read through the steps required to implement a feature and leverage the guided development approach to make the required changes to their project.

Features

  • Guided development allows the user to walk through the steps required to implement a specific functionality in the Fiori element application.
  • User can choose to insert the code snippet or copy the code snippet to the clipboard and make the relevant changes in the project

Usage

How to launch Guided Development

  • Use Command Palette -> CMD/CTRL + Shift + P
  • Type command -> Fiori: Open Guided Development or Fiori: Open Guided Development to the Side

OR

  • From the File Explorer in your project, right click on project folder and Choose SAP Fiori tools: Open Guided Development

Using the Guided Development

After launching the Guided development, a user can do the following:

  • Searching How-to Guides User can specify keywords in the search field and get a result of How-to guides will be shown that match the search criteria. User can expand a specific How-To guide and read through the description and included screenshots (if applicable) The Additional Documentation section also provides links to Fiori elements documentation that user can review to get more details

  • Navigating through guide steps and step details User can go through the steps required to incorporate the changes for a specific topic. If applicable, user will see an enabled Insert Snippet button next to the step. When clicked the required changes are included in the relevant file in the project.

  • Insert the code snippet manually If the Insert Snippet button is disabled or the user wants to make the changes manually, then after reviewing the code snippet, user can use the copy button which copies the code to the clipboard, allowing the user to paste the code snippet in the file.

Prerequisites

The generated application requires the following software to be installed:

  • NodeJS Version 18.14.2 or higher
