Node-RED package to perform common ftp operations

This ftp package contains nodes to perform common ftp system related tasks, like listing files in a specific folder.

Features

• The ftp node can be used to perform an operation on an FTP server.
• It can upload, download or delete a file, make or remove a directory, or list the files that are present in a directory.
• Filter file names using regular star-based file masks (e.g. *.xml) or a regular expression.

Installation

Use the Manage Palette option from the Node-RED-menu, or run the following command in your Node-RED user directory - typically ~/.node-red:

npm install @objectif-lune/node-red-contrib-ftp

Usage

The ftp node can list the files present in the specified folder. The node can be placed in a flow and is triggered once the preceding node has completed.

A word of caution

This node is part of the OL Connect Automate stack. It is intended for use by current users of OL Connect who want to experiment with automating server operations through Node-RED. The OL Connect Automate stack is a technology preview.

Known issues

If you are utilizing Node-Red within a Docker environment and your data is located in a separate environment (specifically, the data resides on Windows while the Docker environment runs on Linux), attempting to uninstall the package might result in an error. To resolve this issue, Stop the Docker environment and manually navigate to the data location, then execute the command npm uninstall @objectif-lune/node-red-contrib-ftp.

Support

At this early stage, the OL Connect Automate stack is not supported through the OL Care program. Feel free to visit the OL Connect Automate stack forum to post questions, comments and suggestions.
