Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Clear-Node-Modules-CLI-Tool

A command-line tool to recursively delete all node_modules directories starting from the current directory. Useful for clearing up disk space and resolving issues related to outdated or corrupted node_modules folders.

Installation

You can install @mjavason/clear-node-modules globally using npm:

npm install -g @mjavason/clear-node-modules

This will make the clear-node-modules command available globally on your system.

Usage

To run the tool, simply execute the following command from your terminal:

clear-node-modules

This will start the process of recursively searching for and deleting all node_modules directories from the current directory downwards..

Options

Currently, the tool does not support additional options or arguments. Future versions may include options for more granular control. Ensure you point to a desired root folder. The extension will without exception delete any node_module folder found, including those belonging to apps.
