Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

React Service Worker

A headless React component that wraps around the Navigator Service Worker API to manage your service workers. Inspired by Create React App's service worker registration script.

Installation

npm install @medipass/react-service-worker --save

or install with Yarn if you prefer:

yarn add @medipass/react-service-worker

Usage

Basic

Import the <WithServiceWorker> component and wrap it around your application.

The destination of where your service worker is located.

Example usage:

publicUrl

string | Optional

The public URL of your application. Defaults to the root origin.

Example usage:

onError

function(error: Error) | Optional

Invoked when an error occurs during service worker registration.

Example usage:

onInstalled

function() | Optional

Invoked when the service worker is installed.

Example usage:

onUpdated

Invoked when the service worker is updated.

registerOnMount

boolean | Optional | Default: true

If true, service worker will be registered when the component is mounted.

Example usage:

<WithServiceWorker registerOnMount={process.env.PRODUCTION}>

When invoked, register will register the service worker.

update

When invoked, update will update the service worker.

unregister
