Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Turtle Build Status

Turtle is a blazing fast & modern javascript plugin to lazy-load your images with no dependencies.

Features

Install

# Using npm
$ npm install @marlospomin/turtle

# Using yarn
$ yarn add @marlospomin/turtle

Now include turtle and you should be good to go.

// es6
import turtle from '@marlospomin/turtle'

// commonjs
const turtle = require('@marlospomin/turtle')

Usage

Add .turtle class to your element(s) and the image path using data-src attribute according to the example below.

<img class="turtle" data-src="image.jpg" alt="">

If you want to use a placeholder for the real image refer it in the src attribute:

<img class="" src="placeholder.jpg" data-src="" alt="">

Call turtle anywhere in your code.

// Call turtle
turtle()

Configuring

These are the current default options, change them as you see fit.

Update the default config:

Running Tasks

You can run tasks with the yarn command like the example below:

# Build task
$ yarn build

# Lint task
$ yarn lint

Note: IE 11 is not supported.
