Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

side-menu

Side-menu is a LitElement Web Component providing application navigation functionality withing the UI. It can be used for hierarchical or flat navigation.

  1. Compact and normal modes
  2. Adding icons to the elements

Example of side-menu

Installation

Install 'side-menu' web component:

npm i @maksu/side-menu --save

After that you can import in an html file:

You can set an item to be selected by adding a selected attribute to it

Expand nested items:

When you have a multi level menu, you can expand the child items by adding expanded attribute to the parent:

Running the demo locally

  1. Fork the side-menu repository and clone it.
  2. Run npm install to install the dependencies.
  3. Run npm start and the browser will automatically open the component demo.
