Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

JPAULO.dev Next.js ESLint Config

This package provides a standardized ESLint configuration tailored for projects using Next.js on JPAULO.dev. It aims to enforce consistent coding styles and best practices across your Next.js projects, helping to keep your codebase clean, readable, and maintainable.

Features

  • Pre-configured ESLint rules: This package comes with a set of pre-configured ESLint rules that are commonly used in Next.js projects, saving you the time and effort of setting up these rules manually.
  • Next.js specific rules: In addition to the standard ESLint rules, this package includes rules that are specifically designed for Next.js, helping you to avoid common pitfalls and write more efficient Next.js code.
  • Easy to use: Simply install the package and extend the configuration in your .eslintrc file. No additional setup required.

What's Included?

  • Standard config base;
  • JSON plugin;
  • Eslint Plugin Import
  • Tailwindcss Prettier Plugin
  • ESlint and Prettier

Installation

You can install this package using npm:

npm install --save-dev @jpaulo.dev/eslint-nextjs-config

Usage

After installation, you can add this to your .eslintrc file:

{
  "extends": [
    "next/core-web-vitals",
    "@jpaulo.dev/eslint-nextjs-config",
  ]
}

This package include a Prettier plugin for Tailwind CSS that automatically sorts classes based on Tailwind CSS team recommended class order. Create your prettier.config.js file in root, then add the plugin to your Prettier config:

module.exports = {
  plugins: [
    'prettier-plugin-import-sort',
    'prettier-plugin-organize-attributes',
    'prettier-plugin-organize-imports',
    // prettier-plugin-tailwindcss must be loaded last
    'prettier-plugin-tailwindcss',
    ],
  // path to your tailwind.config.ts file
  tailwindConfig: './tailwind.config.ts'
}

Now, ESLint will use the standardized configuration provided by this package when linting your Next.js code.

Happy coding!
