Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, πŸ‘‹, I’m Ryan HefnerΒ  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you πŸ™

Install and register Swiper (optional):

Swiper is a dependency used to handle swiping. The component works fine without Swiper, using the toolbar buttons, but will have no swiping ability. Install Swiper in different ways:

Script tag

  • Put a script tag similar to this in the head of your index.html
<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/swiper@11/swiper-element-bundle.min.js"></script>

Node Modules

  • Install the package
npm install --save swiper
  • Put a script tag similar to this in the head of your index.html
<script type='module' src='node_modules/swiper/timegrid/swiper-element-bundle.min.js'></script>

In an app

  • Install the package
npm install --save swiper
  • Register Swiper in your app (in main.ts)
import { register } from 'swiper/element/bundle';
register();

Example - usage in an Angular app

This example assumes that the Angular app uses this web component directly, not the Angular connector.

  • Install Swiper and Timegrid component
npm install --save swiper
npm install --save @hexaflexa/timegrid
  • Add CUSTOM_ELEMENTS_SCHEMA to the modules that use the components (in app.module.ts)
import { ..., CUSTOM_ELEMENTS_SCHEMA } from '@angular/core';
@NgModule({
    ...,
    schemas: [CUSTOM_ELEMENTS_SCHEMA],
})
  • Register swiper and define the custom elements in your app (in main.ts)
import { register } from 'swiper/element/bundle';
register();

import { defineCustomElements } from '@hexaflexa/timegrid/loader';
defineCustomElements(window);
  • Declare the timegrid configuration and the start date, according to your needs (in your component, i.e. app.component.ts)
import { TimegridConfig } from '@hexaflexa/timegrid';

@Component({
  selector: 'app-root',
  templateUrl: './app.component.html',
  styleUrl: './app.component.css'
})
export class AppComponent {
    startDate: string;
    timegridConfig: TimegridConfig;

    constructor() {
        this.startDate = '2024-02-15';
        this.timegridConfig = {
            daysConfig: {
                daysCount: 3,
            },
            resources: [
                { id: '1', title: 'Resource 1' },
                { id: '2', title: 'Resource 2' },
            ],
            events: [
                {
                    id: '1',
                    resources: ['1'],
                    title: 'Event 1',
                    start: '2024-02-15 09:00',
                    end: '2024-02-15 10:00',
                },
                {
                    id: '2',
                    resources: ['2'],
                    title: 'Event 2',
                    start: '2024-02-15 10:00',
                    end: '2024-02-15 11:00',
                },
            ],
        };
    }
}
  • Style the timegrid component (in your component, i.e. app.component.css)
hf-timegrid {
    display: block;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    border: 2px solid #ddd;
    border-radius: 10px;
