@fav/type.is-integer

Checks whether a value is an integer or not.

"fav" is an abbreviation of "favorite" and also the acronym of "for all versions". This package is intended to support all Node.js versions and many browsers as possible. At least, this package supports Node.js >= v0.10 and major Web browsers: Chrome, Firefox, IE11, Edge, Vivaldi and Safari.

Install

To install from npm:

$ npm install --save @fav/type.is-integer

NOTE: npm < 2.7.0 does not support scoped package, but old version Node.js supports it. So when you use such older npm, you should download this package from github.com, and move it in node_modules/@fav/type.is-integer/ directory manually.

Usage

For Node.js:

var isInteger = require('@fav/type.is-integer');
isInteger(123); // => true
isInteger(4.56); // => false
isInteger(Infinity); // => false
isInteger(NaN); // => false

isInteger.not(123); // => false
isInteger.not(4.56); // => true
isInteger.not(Infinity); // => true
isInteger.not(NaN); // => true

For Web browsers:

API

isInteger(value) : boolean

Checks if value is an integer, which has no dicimal place and is neither a positive/negative infinity, nor NaN.

Parameter:

Return:

True, if value is an integer.

Type: boolean

isInteger.not(value) : boolean

Checks if value is not an integer.

This function always returns a negative boolean of isInteger(value).
