Dr. Fibryll and Mr. Glyde
This explorable illustration spatio-temporal pattern formation in a lattice of pulse coupled oscillators. The system is an example of an excitable medium and exhibits spiral waves and target waves depending on the parameter choices.
The explorable is part of the Complexity Exporables Collection. For more information about the system and its behavior consult the explorable
Installation & Use
Out of the box you can use the explorable in a basic index.html
file like this
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,initial-scale=1">
<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@explorables/dr_fibryll_and_mr_glyde"></script>
</head>
<body class="avenir pa3 pa5-ns tj">
<div id="explorable_container"></div>
</body>
<script type="text/javascript">
dr_fibryll_and_mr_glyde.load("explorable_container")
</script>
</html>
The header <script>
tag loads the bundle, the <div>
in the document is the container in which the explorable gets anchored when the function dr_fibryll_and_mr_glyde.load()
gets executed at the bottom. The load
function needs the <div>
container id
as an argument.
