@dimaslz/ng-v-class
Angular directive to have a flexible "ngClass" as Vue style but in Angular.
- This project was generated with Angular CLI.
Installation
npm: npm install @dimaslz/ng-v-class
yarn: yarn add @dimaslz/ng-v-class
In your module where you want to use this directive
import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
import { BrowserModule } from '@angular/platform-browser';
import { NgVClassModule } from '@dimaslz/ng-v-class';
// or: import NgVClassModule from '@dimaslz/ng-v-class';
import { AppComponent } from './app.component';
@NgModule({
declarations: [
AppComponent
],
imports: [
BrowserModule,
NgVClassModule,
...
],
...
bootstrap: [AppComponent]
})
export class AppModule { }
In your template
<some-element [ngVClass]="expression">...</some-element>
Why?
Under my experience, as I have worked with Vue with dynamic classes has a better flexibility to work with directly in the template.
For example, in Angular, you can use Object, String or Array but just easy way...
<!-- example of ngClass in Angular -->
<some-element [ngClass]="'first second'">...</some-element>
<some-element [ngClass]="['first', 'second']">...</some-element>
<some-element
[ngClass]="{'first': true, 'second': true, 'third': false}"
>...</some-element>
<some-element [ngClass]="stringExp|arrayExp|objExp">...</some-element>
<some-element [ngClass]="{'class1 class2 class3' : true}">...</some-element>
... for example, you can not combine different types in one expression
<some-element
[ngClass]="[activeClass ? 'class1' : 'class2', {'class5': true}]"
>...</some-element>
<!-- ERROR Error: NgClass can only toggle CSS classes expressed as strings, got [object Object] -->
...however in vue, you can do the same and also, combine both...
<!-- example of :class in Vue -->
<some-element
:class="[
'first second',
{'first': true, 'second': false},
['class1', 'class2', 'class3'],
someValue ? 'classA' : 'classB',
[
someValue ? 'classA' : 'classB', 'class2', 'class3', ['other']
],
]"
>...</some-element>
... so, infinit combinations that sometimes could help us.
Then, with this package you can use the same syntax as in Vue with :class
, now in Angular with [ngVClass]
.
<!-- example of ngVClass (this package) in Angular -->
<some-element
[ngVClass]="[
'first second',
{'first': true, 'second': false},
['class1', 'class2', 'class3'],
someValue ? 'classA' : 'classB',
[
someValue ? 'classA' : 'classB', 'class2', 'class3', ['other']
],
]"
>...</some-element>
