Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Client library for Canada Holidays API

Installation and Usage

npm install --save @datafire/canada_holidays_ca

Description

This API that lists all 28 public holidays for all 13 provinces and territories in Canada, including federal holidays.

Actions

api.v1.get

Returns a welcome message.

canada_holidays_ca.api.v1.get(null, context)

Input

This action has no parameters

api.v1.holidays.get

Returns Canadian public holidays. Each holiday lists the regions that observe it.

canada_holidays_ca.api.v1.holidays.get({}, context)

Input

  • input object
    • year string: A calendar year
    • federal string (values: 1, 0, true, false): A boolean parameter. If true, will return only federal holidays. If false, will return no federal holidays.

Returns one Canadian statutory holiday by integer id. Returns a 404 response for invalid ids.
