Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Overview

The repo contains the Cask Protocol buttons/widgets that can be integrated into your website. This includes a checkout button that can be used to provide simple signup experience as well as a top-up button that can be added to your app/website to allow users to ensure they maintain a healthy cask balance.

Installation

To install the stable version:

npm install --save @caskprotocol/cask-widgets

or using yarn:

yarn add @caskprotocol/cask-widgets

Usage

Add this import to starting point of your project such as: index.js or index.ts files

import '@caskprotocol/cask-widgets';

Create a <cask-checkout-button/> element with required attributes mentioned below.

<cask-checkout-button
  class="cask-checkout-button"
  environment="production"
  chains="polygon,avalanche"
  provider="0x...."
  plan="123456"
  onClose="close"
  onSuccess="success"
  label="Checkout with Crypto"
></cask-checkout-button>

Attributes:

| name | Required | Description | |------------|:--------:|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:| | class | | CSS classes to add. | | environment | | Environment. Possible values: testnet or production. Defaults to production. | | chains | | List of chains a subscription can be created on. Ensure the same plans exist on all chains. Defaults to polygon. | | provider | ✔ | Your provider wallet address. | | plan | ✔ | Your Cask plan id. | | label | | Message to put on the button. | | ref | | Include a custom value associated with the Cask subscription data. | | size | | Button size. Possible values:regular, large or small. Defaults to regular. | | theme | | Widget theme. Possible values: dark or light. Defaults to dark. | | redirect | | Redirect to URL upon successful subscribe. Does not call onSuccess handler, if supplied. | | onClose | | Callback for close event. | | onSuccess | | Callback for successSubscription event. |

Events:

| name | Description | | ------------------- | ---------------------------------: | | close | Fires after widget closes | | successSubscription | Fires when user subscribes to plan |

Multi Chain:

The Cask protocol has been deployed on a number of EVM chains, and additional chains will be supported in the future. For the checkout widget to support multiple chains, the provider must have deployed the exact same set of plans/discounts on each chain in which they support. Once that is done, the widget needs to be told which chains to support via the chains attribute. The value is a comma separate list of the following chains:

Production Environment:

  • polygon
  • avalanche
  • fantom
  • celo
  • aurora
  • moonbeam
  • gnosis

Testnet Environment:

  • mumbai
  • fuji
  • celo_alfajores

Styling:

cask-checkout-button uses Shadow CSS ::part spec. It has button inside defined as button part img.png

<style>
  .cask-checkout-button::part(button) {
    background-color: aqua;
    width: 100%; /* Those styles apply to button in shadow root */
  }
</style>
<cask-checkout-button
  class="cask-checkout-button"
  label="Pay with Crypto"
/>
