Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Memetaverse UI

This is basically semantic-ui-react themed with Decentrland's look & feel + some of our own components

See: ui.memetaverse.club

Usage

Install it:

npm install --save memetaverse-ui

Import Memetaverse UI's styles in your App's entry point

import 'memetaverse-ui/lib/styles.css'

Now you can use Memetaverse UI's components:

import React from 'react'
import { Button } from 'memetaverse-ui'

export class MyApp extends React.Component {
  render() {
    return <Button>Sabe</Button>
  }
}

Without React

You can also use memetaverse-ui as a CSS framework just by adding this tag in your <head>:

<link href="https://ui.memetaverse.club/styles.css" rel="stylesheet" />

And then using Semantic UI classes like this:

<button class="ui button">Click me!</button>

🏌

Minimizing bundle size

You can import just the essential component and reduce the size of your bundles, like this:

// import css
import 'semantic-ui-css/semantic.min.css'
import 'balloon-css/balloon.min.css'
import 'memetaverse-ui/dist/themes/base-theme.css'
import 'memetaverse-ui/dist/themes/alternative/light-theme.css'
// or import 'memetaverse-ui/dist/themes/alternative/dark-theme.css'

// Then import just the components you will use
import Grid from 'semantic-ui-react/dist/commonjs/collections/Grid/Grid'
import { Button } from 'memetaverse-ui/dist/components/Button/Button'
import { Card } from 'memetaverse-ui/dist/components/Card/Card'

Alternative themes

You can use one of our alternative themes by importing in after Memetaverse UI's styles, like this:

import 'memetaverse-ui/lib/styles.css'
import 'memetaverse-ui/lib/dark-theme.css'

Or you can create your own theme like this:

/* my-theme.css */
:root {
  /* global */
  --background: #ffffff;
  --danger: #ffa900;
  --error: #ff0000;

  /* buttons */
  --primary: #ff2d55;
  --secondary: #f3f2f5;
  --primary-hover: #ff3d61;
  --secondary-hover: #ecebed;

  /* on modals */
  --secondary-on-modal: #f3f2f5;
  --secondary-on-modal-hover: #ecebed;
  --card-on-modal: #ffffff;

  /* text */
  --text: #16141a;
  --secondary-text: #676370;
  --text-on-primary: #ffffff;
  --text-on-secondary: #16141a;

  /* ui */
  --divider: #67637033;
  --dropdown: #ffffff;
  --dropdown-hover: #f3f2f5;
