Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Global Components

Repository responsible to deliver a header, footer and search engine for all other apps.

Working within this repo

Working from other repo

This repo expose an executable that can be fired externally with the command of-global-components.

It contains several commands:

  • fetch-data - Is responsible to fetch the data from sanity.

Commands configuration

Commands can be configured in multiple ways. There are pre-defined environment settings that contain all the settings configured for its environment.

Predefined settings

  • dev
  • staging
  • prod

While using the command line you just need to specify the env option like that.

global-components fetch --env staging

Known limitations:

  • [ ] - Fetch data fetches for now only the published data
