Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@arianee/service-provider

A library for services and applications that need to use Smart Asset Sharing Tokens (SST), a type of token that can be used to share the content and transfer rights of a smart asset on the Arianee protocol without losing ownership of the underlying smart asset.

Installation

npm install @arianee/service-provider

With older versions of npm, you may need to install the peer dependencies manually, see the peer depencies in the package.json file.

Usage

In order to instantiate a ServiceProvider, you need:

  • a Core instance of the service provider (that will be used to try transfering the smart asset using the SST through the permit721 contract)
import { ServiceProvider } from '@arianee/service-provider';

const serviceProvider = new ServiceProvider(
  Core.fromPrivateKey('0xSERVICE_PROVIDER_PRIVATE_KEY...') // Core instance of the service provider
);

Extract an SST from an URL using the extractSST utility function:

const sst = serviceProvider.extractSST('https://service-provider.com?SST=eySST...');

To check if an SST is valid using the isValidSST function:

const isValid = await serviceProvider.isValidSST({
  sst: 'eySST...', // an SST (Smart Asset Sharing Token)
  performDryRun: false, // OPTIONAL: set to true to perform a transfer dry run in addition to the other checks (default is false)
  shouldThrow: false, // OPTIONAL: set to true to throw an error if the SST is not valid (default is false, prints a console error instead)
});

To get a smart asset (and its content) from an SST using the getSmartAssetFromSST function (this will also check if the SST is valid using the isValidSST function before trying to get the smart asset):

const smartAsset = await serviceProvider.getSmartAssetFromSST({
  sst: 'eySST...', // an SST (Smart Asset Sharing Token)
  performDryRun: false, // OPTIONAL: for the internal `isValidSST` call, set to true to perform a transfer dry run in addition to the other checks (default is false)
});

To transfer a smart asset with an SST using the transferSmartAsset function (this will also check if the SST is valid using the isValidSST function before trying to transfer the smart asset):

const tx = await serviceProvider.transferSmartAsset({
  sst: 'eySST...', // an SST (Smart Asset Sharing Token)
  to: '0xRECIPIENT_ADDRESS', // the address of the recipient of the smart asset
  performDryRun: false, // OPTIONAL: set to true to perform a transfer dry run before the actual transfer (default is false)
});

The SST are typically generated by the @arianee/token-provider library.
